How much does a Tower Climber make? Tower climbers make $41,248 per year on average, or $19.83 per hour, in the United States. Tower climbers on the lower end of that spectrum, the bottom 10% to be exact, make roughly $28,000 a year, while the top 10% makes $59,000.

Verizon plans to shut down its old 3G CDMA network by the end of 2022, which means 3G devices won't be able to make or receive calls. But really, a large antenna is going to flex and sway in the wind. Antennas are generally built out of aluminum which, while strong, has more flex than steel. Not only that, most antennas today are designed to be as light as possible meaning that as little metal is used as possible.
Work schedule
Workdays can start early or end late, ranging from 8 – 10 hours and sometimes longer. Some climbers will be out on assignment for weeks at a time. Some report only being home one week between working 6 – 8 week shifts traveling between sites far from home.

Three-phase electric power systems are used for high voltage (66- or 69-kV and above) and extra-high voltage (110- or 115-kV and above; most often 138- or 230-kV and above in contemporary systems) AC transmission lines.
