What is the giant green dragon in breath of the wild?
You may have already spotted Farosh—a giant green dragon flying high in the skies of Hyrule. This dragon appears above Lake Hylia in the morning. It also appears in the Gerudo Highlands by the mountains or in the area with waterfalls East of Faron Tower.
When you see the updraft, paraglide parallel to the bridge which will bring you up close and personal with Farosh. Then, press Y to target your arrow at the part you need horns, scale, or claw. You can do this once per day, so just light a fire and wait for it to appear again.

The easiest way to get to 'electric' Farosh is at the end of its route, on the southern coast at Rassala Lake in the Faron region. From there, Farosh will fly in from the north and up into the air, with a waterfall overlooking the dragon as the perfect position to shoot.
Farosh is involved in The Serpent's Jaws shrine quest in order to uncover Shae Katha Shrine at the north end of the Dracozu River. Link must procure a scale to drop in the Spring of Courage, which will open the door to the shrine.

Farosh prefers the waterfalls of Faron. Fast travel to the Shoda Sah shrine and climb up to Riola Spring slightly north. Set up a campfire and wait until 5 AM. Farosh will appear out of the water, accompanied by strong updrafts of wind, and you can use those to sail closer and attack him with fire or ice arrows.

The Master Sword is unique in that it's the only unbreakable weapon in the game. Its durability wanes with use, but after a few minutes recharging in your inventory, it's good to go again. It's worth finding the sword as it does double damage against Ganon and his minions.
Dinraal is fairly routine in how it appears. To find Dinraal, you'll need to fast travel to Shae Loya Shrine, just South of Tabantha Bridge Stable. Once you've reached the shrine, head over to the stable and rest in a bed or outside at the camp fire. You'll want to rest until morning.

Dinraal begins its flight just north of Death Mountain near the northeast corner of Hyrule.
You should find Farosh, the yellow Dragon, flying around Lake Hylia. Farosh spawns in the north west area of the region at 12am (in-game time). Head to Lake Tower at this time and into Lake Hylia. You should spot Farosh flying around soon enough.
Shards of Farosh's horn sell for 300 rupees each, making farming them one of the fastest ways of earning money; they sell at Kilton's Fang and Bone for 150 mon.
